Supported Phones
These phones have been tried. Note that behaviour may vary dependent on firmware versions. Especially series-60 Nokia-phones have Bluetooth problems in earlier firmware versions. Consult a Nokia service center for an often free firmware upgrade. Please note that only phones with CLDC1.1 are supported (CLDC1.0 e.g. N6600 is no longer supported).

- Nokia 6230 (in progress, seems ok, but camera not accessible)
- Nokia 6680 (UMTS) works, make sure you have latest firmware (5.04.07)
- Nokia N70 (ok)

- Nokia N80 (WIFI/UMTS/GPRS phone) works
- Nokia N82 (WIFI/UMTS/GPRS phone) works [my phone]
- Nokia N90 (UMTS) works. need final confirmation.
- Nokia N95 (WIFI/UMTS/GPRS phone) works [my phone]

Issues
Open
- networking errors: MobiTracer uses standard HTTP. This may not work due to a variety of reasons. Usually
this can be solved through operator settings on the phone itself. This is a known issue with all mobile apps that use HTTP. See also here (http://www.reqwireless.com/support_faq.html#network-related)
Done
- The app has been programmed for the Nokia 6600 and now uses fixed screensize due to MIDP2 problems
in the 6600 (getWidth() with fullscreen). This will be fixed.
- adapt map image dimensions to screen dimensions

Installation
Downloading and installation is conducted from your phone, so called Over The Air (OTA) ie. via a URL. On many phones this may be done through a web browser such as Opera Mobile. On other phones there may be an "Application Manager" that you need to use.
- enter URL http://www.geotracing.com/gt/ota/mt.jsp?u=...&p=... (fill in your username and password at ...)
- best is to add this URL as a bookmark so you can quickly install new versions
- follow installation steps
- MobiTracer requires permissions to use the network, Bluetooth and the multimedia. In order to prevent continuous pop-ups, you should set these permissions in your Application Manager.

Installatie via OTA (URL)
- ga naar menu (blauwe toets links)
- open app "Beheer"
- kies "Opties | Toep. downloads"
- kies "Opties | Bookmarkbeheer | Bookm. toevoegen"
- vul in Adres: http://www.geotracing.com/gt/ota/mt.jsp?u=...&p=... (vul hier je usernaam en paswoord in)
- kies "opslaan"
- kies "Opties | downloaden"
- volg installatie stappen (installeer bij voorkeur op geheugenkaart)
- na "Installatie Compleet" app beheer helemaal afsluiten
Instellingen
Om voortdurend popups te voorkomen dienen de volgende instellingen gedaan te worden
- open weer app "Beheer"
- kies MobiTracer "Opties | Instellingen"
- stel in Netwerktoegang: "1e keer vragen"
- stel in: Connectiviteit: "Altijd toegestaan"
- stel in Multimedia: "1e keer vragen"
- "Terug" en afsluiten
